Here is my research of music video project
The Vaccines - Wetsuit
The target audiences are for teenager around 20 years old. Filter being use is warm and artist in pictures are from young ages which is very nostalgic. The good thing about this music video is it fit very well for nostalgia, the producer put pictures, the filter, look like an old music video. Bad thing is there is not much an action what the artist do.
All I Need release in 2020 composed by Jacob Collier. Target audiences for this type of genre is mostly for teenager due the music background is jazzy and it has the element of pop genre. The music video is featuring an artist (Mahalia, Ty Dolla $ign) which one way to attract more audiences. For the visualisation, it's a bit crowded.
Cory Wong - Golden
One way the producer attract more audiences by featuring an artist. In this song, it feat. Cody Fry. Main actor wear golden outfit and other actor wear blue outfit, purpose of this is to give audiences meaning that they both are opponents. It's quite unique song, because it have the jazz elements and rock genre especially when the guitar solo part, the guitar sound dirty (has distortion) which in all rock genre done that. Convention of jazz music is usually relate with soft lighting and chill vibes. For clothing, they wear different color of clothes which make it colorful. Target audiences are from teenagers and above. There is a scene where it contain violence when they both fighting (the golden and blue). It's not suitable for kids to watch because kids may imitate the action happen. Thing that I like from this video is the mise-en-scene, the lighting and place chosen.
