Critical self-reflection
I make a music magazine targeted for musician start from young age to adult.
How does your product use or challenge conventions and how does it represent social group or issues?
The genre convention of my music magazine is rock fusion and targeted for musician that are into rock genre. I’m holding an electric guitar which rock guitarist always to do when they pose. For title I use GUITARPROG which shortened from guitar progressive, audiences will notice if this magazine targeted for rock musician based on prog word. Electric guitar one of the main iconic instruments to play in rock genre whether it’s hard rock, rock fusion, and etc. One way to target audience is based on genre theory by Steve Neale. Based on my research, majority the star appeal or guitarist from guitar world magazine on google they all holding an electric guitar. For background color most of the magazine use dark color but some they use bright color. They often include the star appeal (starring), listed other rock band, etc.
